A 30 day Live Workshop to help you build out a learning plan that's unique to your child.
These are the questions most homeschool planning starts with....Most families pick a method first, then spend the year trying to make the child fit it. Know Your Learner reverses the order: understand who before you decide how.
There isn't one universally correct way to educate a child, because there isn't one universal learner.
One child thrives with structure. Another feels it as pressure.
One needs you beside them. Another does their best work when you leave the room.
This is just as true, often more so, for neurodivergent learners. Two kids can share a diagnosis and still need completely different days, routines, supports, etc.
My kid refuses to do math.
What is the refusal telling me?
Is this a good curriculum?
Is this a good resource for THIS learner, for THIS purpose, at THIS moment?
What's the best practice?
What actually helps this learner?
Join us for 30 days to help you determine what type of learner your child is, what they need to thrive, and how you can design a learning plan for their unique needs. Our flexible schedule will look like this:
Every Monday I'll release a new, pre-recorded module + workbook. Module 1 releases Tuesday, Sep 1.
Use the learning and workbook to observe your own kids all week using real life, real evidence.
We'll connect live once a week to chat, ask questions, share thoughts, etc in our Thursday Live Labs, 12 PM ET. Always recorded, so join live or watch later.
Every Friday is a submission opportunity! Share your work and Leah will select several for feedback. Depending on enrollment size, individual feedback isn't guaranteed.
This workshop is designed for flexible, asynchronous participation. You don't have rearrange your life for this workshop. I'm a homeschool mom too, after all! I know how hard it is to commit to live events. I'll record everything and give you space to learn and implement.
SEE → UNDERSTAND → SUPPORT → BUILD
Stop evaluating. Start observing.
Learn to watch your child without judgment, noticing what's actually happening instead of what you fear it means.
I'll teach you what to look for, where to pay attention, and how to notice things.
You'll learn to tell observation apart from evaluation, and your actual child apart from your expectations of them, including the real difference between "can't," "won't," "doesn't yet," and "doesn't see a reason to."
By the end of the week, you're not reacting to your kid anymore. You're researching them.
Behavior is information.
Motivation, autonomy, attention, executive function, sensory needs, and regulation - what's driving what you see? We'll dive into the WHY behind the behavior this week.
Instead of "My child is refusing to learn things." you start asking "What is their refusal showing me?" We've been conditioned to view everything through a lens of compliance (especially for neurodivergent learners), when really all behavior is a message for us to understand how our child is learning and growing!
By the end of this week, you'll understand the whys behind what you've spent a week observing.
Give them what they need without taking over.
Support isn't control. Autonomy isn't absence. Find the line that helps your particular learner thrive. We'll learn about scaffolding, strewing, and using the environment as a teacher.
Self-directed education isn't some form of passive parenting. This week you'll learn to tell different kinds of support apart, and figure out what your particular learner needs, in which circumstances.
By the end of this week, you will have an action plan for how to adjust your routines, expectations, and environment to support your child.
Turn understanding into educational decisions.
Everything you've observed and understood over three weeks comes together and gets applied to your child's actual education.
This week, you'll pull everything together into a profile you'll actually use for planning, choosing, and adapting. This is a living document you can adapt every year as your child grows and changes.
By the end of this week you'll have more confidence in your homeschooling journey because you'll understand who your child is as a unique learner and how best to support them.
In this workshop, you'll create an Individual Learning Profile for your child with the information that you learn and observe through our 30 days together. This is a living snapshot - not a diagnosis, personality test, or permanent label, and is meant to change as your child grows.
Raising a neurodivergent learner? Know Your Learner is made for you too. Let's look at why:
A diagnosis can tell you something about your child. It cannot tell you everything about your child.
Conventional advice often fails families with neurodiverse individuals, because it's built for a category, not a kid. This workshop starts with your actual child.
Know Your Learner does not diagnose, does not make medical claims, and does not treat neurodivergence as a problem to fix. It treats neurodivergence as one important dimension of a whole human. When the confines and expectations of the classroom are removed, the whole child can be the focus - not just their differences.
One payment. No fake discounts, no upsells, no gimmicks.
One enrollment covers your household; use it with all of your children.
This isn't only for unschoolers! It's for homeschooling families across every methodology. It's especially valuable for families raising neurodivergent learners, whether identified or still questioning.
You're buying the workshop, not renting it for a month. You keep ongoing access to the core teaching videos, the workbook, the tools, and your cohort's live recordings.
Come back as your child grows. Update the learner profile. Repeat the process with another child. Revisit it when something that used to work suddenly stops working.
Honest caveat: this covers your purchased materials and your own cohort's recordings, not free access to every future live cohort.
